Sonia Kashuk Knock Out Beauty Haul Review & Swatches

I live directly across the street from a Target.  Translation: I'm there practically every day.  Some days I'm not even there for any particular reason besides wanting to peruse the beauty section.  During my last trip I came across two new palettes from Sonia Kashuk.  The first is from the new KO Beauty Collection simply called the Knock Out Beauty Shadow Box.

There are 16 shades in total, all of the shades are matte except for 2 that are metallic.

Unfortunately these shadows did not live up to my expectations.  Most of the shades barely showed up on my skin tone and the shadows that did lacked pigment, were very chalky and didn't blend well.

With a price tag of $24.99 I wanted a little more and it just didn't deliver.

The second palette I picked up from Sonia Kashuk is called the Eye on Textured Nudes (04).  Now I'm a huge fan of the Eye on Neutral Palette (02) so I was happy to see this one.  This palette retails for $19.99 at Target.

Like the other two palettes it contains 12 shadow with a mix of matte, shimmer and glitter.  The shades run on the warmer side and overall I had mixed feelings about this one.

The first row contains 4 matte shades, the second row is shimmer and the last row is glitter.

All except one (the dark matte brown on the end) were buttery, soft, pigmented and easy to blend.  But the shades themselves were nothing to write home about.

The metallic shades were the best out of the bunch.  They were super smooth and buttery and glided evenly onto the skin.  As you can see they were super pigmented and had a nice sheen to them.

The four remaining shades were all glitter and not in a good way.  They were really soft to the point of feeling what can only be described as "mushy".  There was also a lot of fallout plus one of my biggest pet peeves is that they don't wipe "clean".  Meaning that you're going to be picking flecks of glitter off of your skin for months!

Overall I wasn't highly impressed with either one and there are definitely better palettes out there for the money both at the drugstore or otherwise.  Both of them were unfortunately a fail for me.

Will you be checking out any of the new Sonia Kashuk products at Target?
