BareMinerals Eyeshadow Review & Swatches
During my recent trip to Ulta I picked up four of the Bareminerals Glimmer Eyeshadows solely based on a review posted by the lovely Tracy over at BeautyReflections on the shade Nude Beach. Aside from Nude Beach I ended up choosing Soul, Queen Phyllis and Cupcake.
Over the past few months I've finally figured out what actually works for me and my eye shape. I'm no muss no fuss when it comes to shadow but I've been trying to go outside of my comfort zone which includes glitter.
I like the look of a glittery shadow. What I don't like is the glittery mess left behind. To my surprise while swatching several of the shades there was no residual "glitter" left over. Meaning they wiped completely clean off the skin and you weren't left finding glitter in random places over the next 6 months. Hallelujah!
The texture is silky smooth and they glide onto the lids like frosting on a cake. All four add the loveliest, almost wet sheen to any eye look.
Below from L to R: Nude Beach, Cupcake, Queen Phyllis and Soul
Nude Beach is a light warm sand color with shimmer. This shade is great to pat all over the lid for a one and done eye look.
Cupcake is a light champagne pink with a sheen. Recently I've been experimenting with pink toned eye shadow so I've been layering this over NARS Kari, one of the dual intensity shades that's the perfect pinky mauve.
Queen Phyllisis a light buttercup color with shimmer. This shade is just stunning! It's perfect for popping on the center of the lid to make the eyes appear brighter and to add just the right amount of sparkle.
Soul - is a matte light cream linen that is perfect to pat all over the lid, throw a darker shade in the crease/outer v and out the door.
You can pick up these beauties for 50% off as part of Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty on Wednesday March 16th.
Do you tend to stick with the same eye shadow look or do you like experiment with different shades, textures and finishes?
